Hybrids

Edmunds.com did an analysis of hybrids vs gasoline cars. A Toyota Prius takes about 3.5 years to break even and a Lexus LS600H 98.5 years! However there are still a lot of drawbacks that hybrids have, like expensive premiums and not that great mileage improvements.

I want to see a life cycle analysis of hybrids that accounts for the manufacturing and disposal of the batteries. It's probably out there, but I haven't spent much time looking yet. maybe at work tomorrow!
