Biking Around

Yesterday, Alicia and I biked from MIT to Lexington Center and back for a total of 23 miles or so. It was fun!

Here are some trails around MA.

I need a better bike and a better backpack, though. I would like to spend less than $200 on a new bike. Is there anyone who can break down the costs of a bike for me? Why are some (like at Target) $100, some $500, and some $1000?

Exercise DDR

So, since I will be starting my new life soon, I am thinking of what my exercise regime should be. I think instead of getting gym membership or whatever, I'm going to play DDR! For some reason, the gym is really boring, but when the music is going and the arrows are whizzing by, I feel compelled to DDR and I can't stop.

There is this open source DDR for computers that I am probably going to get called Step Mania. I just need to buy the pad, but I'm going to download the program first and see how it goes.

I think I also want to do yoga. When Toby and I were members of the YMCA, we did vinyasa flow yoga.

MBT theraputic shoes

Yesterday, Alicia and I went shopping, and we came across this shoe store called Foot Solutions. They had a lot of comfortable shoes there, and there is this new kind of shoe called the MBT that is supposed to exercise you while you walk and also help with your joints and posture. Miracle shoe! They're around $250, though.
